Jinny Talks - Edition 4

Our fourth edition of Jinny Talks brings news of Jinny's new partnership with MCN Holding, one of the Middle East’s top full-service advertising, marketing and media groups. Under the terms of the deal, MCN will work exclusively with Jinny and its Advertising Engine when it seeks to buy mobile network advertising space on behalf of its many clients. As a pioneer and market leader in mobile advertising solutions, Jinny Software will, in turn, utilise the expertise of MCN as it seeks to deliver guidance and overall direction on mobile advertising to its huge customer base as well as new clients.

We also bring news of two deals.  Firstly, Zain in Jordan successfully completed a trial of Jinny's powerful mobile advertising solution. Installed and tested in a matter of weeks, the solution quickly provided the capability to deliver advertisments over SMS messaging from any advertiser or agency. Secondly, the Zain Group selected the Ringback Tone Server for all its operations throughout Africa and the Middle East. Initial orders will result in Jinny's Ringback Tone solution being made available to nearly 16 million new subscribers.

Our features look at Mobile Instant Messaging and Mobile Advertising. Mobile Instant Messaging is incredibly popular on the desktop so why not in the software world? The pitfalls of adapting desktop IM for the mobile are explained. 'Raising Revenue through Mobile Advertising' looks at the potentially greatest medium through which to channel an advertising message.

We also bring you our latest news and a view on upcoming industry events where we hope to meet you.

Read the article here. Instant messaging (IM) is incredibly popular on the desktop, so why not in the wireless world? Mobile Instant Messaging (MIM), a presence-enabled messaging service that aims to extend the desktop IM experience to the mobile environment, would seem a logical transition.
