3GSM World Congress, Barcelona, 13th February 2006 – Jinny Software, a leading global supplier of messaging infrastructure to mobile network operators, made significant strides during Q3 & Q4 2005, increasing its overall market share across the globe in the provision and upgrade of its messaging products for mobile operators.

Growth in the African region was extremely strong with Jinny making inroads into seven new markets in southern, western and eastern Africa.  The products sold in the African region are representative of the complete and rapidly expanding Jinny product suite. The most recent deals confirm the suitability of the company’s solutions for use with all mobile networks across the African continent, no matter what core technology underlies the network. The company’s key strengths for this diverse market centre on its ability to deliver modular product architectures, combined with a fast and flexible project approach.

The company’s expansion in the Asia-Pacific region includes deals in a few locations in South and South Eastern Asia for SMSCs and MMSCs. This is a strong market for SMS, in particular, where SMSC throughput levels are rising strongly.  To support its expansion into the Asia-Pacific market the company has also set up a representative office in Kuala Lumpur and now has representatives in China and Hong Kong.  Jinny will be building its mobile messaging market share steadily in the Asia-Pacific throughout 2006.

In the Americas, the company has won deals in the Caribbean and Latin America. An existing MMSC customer in the Caribbean recently selected a Jinny SMSC platform that will support both its TDMA and GSM networks.  Jinny Software’s recent CDMA & GSM interoperability approval from Nortel Networks will boost the company’s growth, as CDMA is the dominant technology in the region.  There are over 40 CDMA operators in Latin America and the Caribbean, with Latin America having more commercially deployed CDMA2000 networks than any other region. Jinny Software will be targeting this whole region during 2006.

Jinny Software’s overall recruitment drive has seen it expand its existing headcount in Europe and the Middle East, and build up its presence in Asia and Americas, reflecting a headcount growth rate of over 50%, worldwide.
