JINNY SOFTWARE OPENS FIRST INTERNATIONAL OFFICE IN DUBAI AS MIDDLE EAST AND GULF BUSINESS CONTINUES TO EXPAND

Arabian Gulf, 28th October 2000: Jinny Software, a leading-edge provider of Mobile Internet solutions, is to drive its international expansion forward as it announces the opening of its first regional office in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The announcement is timed as GITEX, the premier information technology show in the Middle East, opens today. As part of Jinny’s growth strategy, the Dubai office will support existing and future clients and drive sales in the Middle East, Africa and South Asia.

The strategic opening of the Dubai office reflects the accelerating growth of Jinny Software. Dubai is a prime location for Jinny’s Middle Eastern, African and South Asian operations as it is a hub within the Gulf region and is an ideal gateway to target markets. The region is also strategically important to Jinny, which has already established two major contracts with GSM operators in the region, namely France Telecom Mobile Lebanon (FTML) and Jordan's Fastlink. More similar scale contract announcements are to follow.

Much like Dublin, Dubai is a city that has a highly skilled workforce and is centrally located to cover the entire region. Dubai’s business culture promotes high productivity and offers a highly dynamic and progressive environment.

Jinny has a strong offering with its international expansion plans in reflection of the company’s successful launch into the Irish market, where Jinny was founded in June 1999. The company has expanded its workforce to 45 and plans to grow to 100 by mid 2001. In Ireland Jinny has developed a close working relationship with Eircell, Ireland’s leading mobile phone operator, and launched its own dedicated Mobile Commerce Division in June 2000 – an event officiated by Minister for Public Enterprise, Mary O’Rourke TD. Other offices in Europe are planned within the next couple of months.
