2 August 2000: Personalised Ring Tones and Picture Messages available on www.e-merge.ie to 087 customers

Dublin, 2 August 2000: Jinny Software’s new mCommerce Division designed and implemented Eircell’s new customised ring tones and picture messaging facility, “Mobile Mania”. The service is now available to 087 customers on www.e-merge.ie. Eircell is the first network in Ireland and one of the first in Europe to go live with this service. This is also the first mobile commerce solution from Jinny Software’s new mCommerce division, launched only two weeks ago by Minister Mary O’Rourke.

This collaboration further endorses the agreement, signed last week, to formalise the close working partnership between Jinny and Eircell. With the assistance of Jinny Software as a partner of choice, Eircell is consistently first-to-market with services in the mobile and WAP arena.

By using the services provided by Mobile Mania, Eircell customers can choose or even compose their own ringing tones and picture messages, which they can then download to their own phone or send to a friend or colleague.
