23 June 2000: Jinny Software's new Head of HR, Llewellyn Farquharson, to triple head count of Irish Wireless Technology company
Dublin, 23 June 2000:: Llewellyn Farquarson has been appointed Head of Human Resources with leading wireless technology company, Jinny Software Ltd. Llewellyn, formerly Manager in the Executive Search & Selection group at PricewaterhouseCoopers, joins Jinny Software to lead its concerted recruitment drive to grow from 28 employees to over 70 by the end of 2000. Based in Dublin, Llewellyn will report to CEO Mr Roy Zakka, with the initial remit to hire Software Developers, Sales and Marketing staff, and Project Managers.
Llewellyn joins Jinny Software from a ten-year career with PricewaterhouseCoopers, where he gained considerable experience in HR and finance management. Over the last five years Llewellyn has specialised in assisting PwC’s blue chip client base with their high-level recruitment needs within the Executive Search & Selection group, which he joined in 1995. Llewellyn's expertise centred on recruitment search and selection and a wide variety of best practice HR issues. Whilst working for PwC, he delivered HR solutions to a diverse client base of national and international, public and private sector organisations.
Llewellyn will be responsible for developing a strategic HR campaign for these recruits in light of the recent skills shortage in Ireland, and said, “I am very excited to be offered this position with Jinny Software, who have rapidly developed a strong reputation in Ireland for their leading technology and work ethic. I look forward to expanding the workforce at Jinny Software, building on our reputation and offering innovative incentive schemes. A challenge in the current market place, however, so positive is the Jinny story I do not envisage any difficulties.”
Llewellyn is currently studying for a National Diploma in Personnel Management from the National College of Ireland, to complement his financial qualifications achieved to date.
