Jinny Secure $3.5 Million Expansion Capital

3 February 2000 - Rapid expansion planned after major contracts won
Cannes, 3 February 2000: Jinny Software, leading manufacturers of value-added services platforms, WAP gateways and servers for wireless network providers, have secured $3.5 million investment capital.
Growing rapidly since inception in June 99, the investment finance will be used to accelerate the rollout in the business infrastructure to cope with an upsurge in orders. First and second line support staff, together with development staff and a sales and marketing team are being recruited for the Dublin base.
Chairman Roy Zakka said "This is a great milestone for Jinny Software. To date we have been self financed by sales achieved but this extra investment will allow us to expand rapidly and capitalise on the successes of 1999".
Jinny Software's core products are a range of value-added service platforms, the JAIMSä Family, designed for Wireless Network Operators. This family is completed by one of the first WAP 1.1 compliant gateways, the WAP 2000™, fully built, ready for market and timed for release with the latest WAP compatible mobile phones.
Among the latest contracts secured by Jinny Software is the implementation of a WAP Gateway at AIB, Ireland’s largest banks and Europe’s seventh largest. The gateway implements the WTLS security layer from Baltimore Technologies to offer complete end-to-end secure mobile banking. The Gateway will be launched in Q2 2000. Jinny Software clients now include: Eircell, Ireland; FTML, Lebanon; AIB Ireland; Infocell, Jordan; and Philips Consumer Communications, France.
