This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain a professional qualification while at the same time gaining hands on experience in the world of accounting and finance.

Scope & Responsibilities:

You will report to the group Financial Controller and be expected to contribute under her direction. We operate a fully integrated accounting package called Pegasus Opera, when you have mastered this reporting will be straight forward. Your activities will include:

• Preparation of monthly, quarterly and year end management accounts;

• Preparation of annual financial accounts;
• Management of the annual audit;
• Cash flow management based on debtors and creditors as they fall due, plus an element of treasury and foreign exchange;
• Management of sales and purchase invoices;
• Ensuring debtors (pay when payment is due) and creditors are fully up to date;
• Maintance of company fixed asset register;
• Year-end budget input and preparation;
• Ad hoc admin items as and when required.

A sound education which will need to be in line with the entry requirement of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland for Training Contracts. We would be happy to hire a qualified IATI, school leaver or a person already in the system.
