Operations Engineer, Panama
Jinny Software wishes to hire an Operations Engineer for its newly established company and office in Panama (Jinny Software Panama Inc).

Role description
- Provide 1st level of support for Jinny products installed in the field for its customers (chiefly mobile network operators);
- Deployment of new / upgraded Jinny solutions within the operators’ network;
- Duties typically include :
- Logging/ tracking support requests
- Troubleshooting problems and installing software updates
- Technical reporting and system documentation
- Escalating complex technical issues to senior engineers or product specialists either locally or in other Jinny Support Centres
- Taking part in roster for 24 x 7 support coverage
- Hardware installation, Product integration and testing
- Project Reporting & Site documentation
- Projects implementation
- Remote Project Support: Acting as a point of contact for engineers working on–site.
Key requirements
- University graduate, Computer or Telecomm engineer degree
- Minimum of 1-2 years in an IT / Telecomm support or operations role, SMSC/MMSC installation experience especially relevant;
- Working knowledge of Unix OS system administration, networking and Database admin.
- (Linux and Mysql an advantage);
- Solid understanding of mobile network protocols (e.g. SS7, IP, SMPP & SNMP), infrastructure and architectures;
- Good trouble shooting skills;
- Excellent communication skills. Good listener. Team player. Positive attitude is a must. Able to maintain good customer relations. Flexible and cooperative;
- Fluency in verbal and written Spanish and English;
- Able to work under pressure and be quality oriented;
- Willing to Travel extensively.
