DUBLIN, February 27, 2012, 07:00 a.m. GMT – (Virtual Press Office) – Jinny Software, a global supplier of messaging, call completion and mobile advertising solutions to wireless carriers, today announces a deal to supply the fast-growing Play mobile operator with a robust, scalable MMSC solution to support Play’s innovative growth strategy.
With 7 million subscribers, Play is one of the most powerful brands in Poland. Statistics show that 7 out of 10 Polish people who change their operator in MNP process choose Play.
“Play has grown extremely rapidly since we launched in 2007,” says Andrzej Miłkowski, Director of Network Planning and System Engineering at Play. “We give subscribers value for money, while also continuously innovating our services. Jinny is a natural partner for us, as their MMSC solution is highly flexible and innovative. The MMSC includes modules to optimise MMS broadcasting as well as manage campaigns, and all on the same platform.”
Worldwide MMS traffic figures are increasing. Portio research estimates that 320.5 billion MMS messages will have been sent in 2011, up from 248.7 billion in 2010. Portio also estimates that worldwide MMS traffic will grow at a CAGR of 18.9% from 2010 – 2015. Play does not just promote person-to-person (P2P) MMS usage; they also use application-to-person (A2P) MMS campaigns to support and increase their revenue.
“We are pleased to support Poland’s Play as they innovate and grow,” says Richard Choi, Jinny Chief Commercial Officer. “This deal underscores our commitment to helping market leaders move their businesses into the future.”
