RIO DE JANIERO, 5th December 2007 – Jinny Software, a leading global supplier of messaging and media platforms to mobile network operators, today announced that it has won a deal with a large group operator in Brazil. The deal is for Jinny’s Message Router, a powerful middleware product that will provide the operator with a single entry and multiple delivery channels for all content and application providers and short message interconnection with several operators in Brazil.
This contract was won off the back of a successful trial where Jinny proved its capability in handling the complexity of the operator’s interoperability with existing cellular operators through SMPP (TCP/IP based) and also the ability to provide customisation at short notice.
The customer, a group operator in Brazil and Latin America, required interoperability to several other key operator groups also in Brazil and Latin America. The cost/benefit ratio, flexibility and capability of the Jinny Message Router in solving problems regarding interconnection with other operators were key issues addressed in securing this deal. The Message Router will also support VAS services based on SMPP protocol and include e-mail to SMS and Web2SMS.
This initial deal marks the successful beginnings of a mutually beneficial relationship, and further discussions are already taking place around other solutions. The win also increases Jinny’s presence in the Latin American region and proves Jinny as a very strong and focused regional player in the messaging and multimedia space. Jinny Software established its regional headquarters in Rio De Janiero, Brazil in 2006 to support its Latin American customers and to focus on strong and steady growth in the region.
