Acotel Group Announces Two Messaging Infrastructure Contracts With Fastlink

Dubai 4 February 2004- Acotel Group announced today that it has won a major SMSC expansion contract with Fastlink in Jordan

In a separate contract, Acotel Group will also upgrade Fastlink’s VAS Platform to the latest MMS enhanced release. The orders were placed in response to the continuing growth of SMS and MMS messaging in Jordan, in line with the trend throughout the Middle East.

Declan O’Mahony, Director, Acotel Mobile Solutions, commented: “We are delighted to provide Fastlink with the additional SMS capacity in their network. Their subscribers expect a high-quality service and this expansion will ensure that the current high levels are maintained as traffic grows. Our carrier systems are designed to be fully scalable, which has proved crucial to all our customers as messaging traffic continues its upward spiral in their markets.”
